Canadian Aviation Pride is seeking enthusiastic people to join the board of directors. 

This is a volunteer position.

Directors meet bi-monthly online and are expected to contribute to the betterment of Canadian Aviation in a constructive way for LGBTQ+ aviators in Canada.

CAP Executive Director

Executive Director Position


Job Title: Executive Director (ED)

Organization: Canadian Aviation Pride (CAP)

Position Type: Temporary, 1-Year Trial (2024)

Location: Remote (No Office), Internet Access Required

Hours: Approximately 8 hours/month (Flexible)

Compensation: $20/hour

Administrative Duties:

  • Read and respond to general emails
  • Engage with new members/sign-ups for newsletters
  • Manage social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Linked In)
  • Post to and respond on social media
  • Attend Board of Directors (BOD) meetings, create agendas, circulate minutes
  • Basic bookkeeping
  • Coordinate and attend Toronto Pride Social event’s
  • Volunteer coordination and pride planning
  • Seek funding and grants for the future ED**
  • Assist with newsletter
  • Website management


  • Ability to communicate clearly in English (French is helpful but not required)
  • Strong administrative and organizational abilities
  • Proficient in computer usage, basic spreadsheet use, basic accounting
  • Familiarity with Zoom meetings, Google Drive, and email
  • Knowledge of Instagram and Facebook
  • Must have own computer or smartphone


  • Follow and adhere to CAP's vision, mission, and values
  • Promote Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Canadian Aviation
  • Adhere to CAP policies and procedures
  • Take direction from the Board of Directors
  • Provide assistance in basic bookkeeping and account keeping
  • Welcome and engage with membership
  • Coordinate volunteers and assist in fundraising
  • Seek and apply for government grants
  • Manage social media platforms, posting, and replying
  • Attend bi-monthly Zoom meetings, create agendas, record and publish minutes
  • Appear for highlight CAP events, including Toronto Pride social

Compensation and Duration:

  • $20/hour
  • Part-time position (Approximately 8 hours/month)
  • Flexible hours, except for meetings and special events
  • Remote work, internet access required
  • Position is on trial until the end of 2024, with a possible extension based on funding
