Canadian Aviation Pride - Award

CAP is excited to announce the beginning of the Canadian Aviation Pride Awards.

Criteria:

This Award is open to members of the LGBTQ+ community within Canada.

Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents studying for a profession within the aviation and aerospace field, including but not limited to pilots, flight attendants, aviation management, aviation safety, and aircraft maintenance roles.

Amount: Three x $500 Awards per year


1. Pilot Studies (including flight schools, colleges or universities) - 1 award $500

 

2. Aviation Studies (including colleges, universities or continuing education certificates) - 1 award $500

 

3. Pilot or Aviation studies, BIPOC-community member - 1 award $500

(including flight schools, colleges, universities or continuing education certificates)

Application window: 2023’s application window is from 1 December 2023 to 15 January 2024. 

Requirements: 300-600 word personal statement about your contributions to diversity and inclusion within aviation or your community. This includes contributions beyond the LGBTQ+ community, such as underprivileged youth, POC-related or women’s rights groups.

Applications will be taken through Google Forms at Application LINK

Winners: All applications will be reviewed by the Canadian Aviation Pride Board of Directors, and winners will be contacted, and then subsequently announced through our website and media pages.

Applicants will receive their Award by cheque or e-transfer from the Canadian Aviation Pride account.
